Documentary Expedition
We will tell the story of how the Ancient Peruvians fished the coast around Chicama using reed boats designed to surf the giant Pacific swells. Working with the local fisherman, we will learn the ancient skills required to build the Caballito de Totora. Having journeyed to the roots of our sport we will surf Chicama in both the Caballito de Totora, and our modern, high performance surf kayaks, showcasing the new level of the sport and reconnecting with the oldest surfing community in the world.
