Dyslexia

Dyslexia is a common difficulty faced by a large proportion of people.  Dyslexia is not a disability, it is merely a different way of thinking.  Dyslexic people are visual and multi-dimensional thinkers.  As visual thinkers dyslexics think using pictures and often find it difficult to understand letters, numbers and written text.  Dyslexic people have the same potential as anybody else, it just requires the right form of stimulation to unleash that potential.

This software has been designed with dyslexics in mind.  'Sign to Me' has a clear, logical layout in which graphics, video, text, and audio are present simultaneously making it easily accessible to dyslexic users.

Because of the visual nature of Sign Language, many dyslexics will find that signing comes to them fairly easily.  This enables sign language to be used as a tool, for both hearing, and hearing impaired dyslexics, to accompany and support their learning.  By using the four way association between graphics, video, text, and audio, this software can be used to encourage the learning of spelling, reading, writing, and speech.
